Travel to Norway Covid and Quarantine Regulations

Everyone over the age of 16 travelling into Norway must complete the travel entry registration form  (available 72 hours before you arrive in Norway), in addition to that you should follow the guideline applicable to your category below:

  • Provide a valid vaccination certificate issued by the EU / EEA / UK.
  • Take the covid test upon entry to Norway

You are considered non-vaccinated if you do not have a valid vaccination certificate from Norway / EU/EEA countries or the UK. Thus you have to:

  • Provide documentation of a negative test result for the PCR/antigen coronavirus taken during the 24 hours leading up to your entry into Norway.
  • Take the covid test upon your entry into Norway.
  • Enter into a 10 days travel quarantine in your own home, another suitable accommodation or a quarantine hotel.
  • You can take a PCR test no earlier than three days after arriving in Norway. If the test result is negative, you can come out of travel quarantine. You must be able to provide documentation of the negative test result.
  • Provide documentation of a negative test-result for the PCR/antigen coronavirus taken during the 24 hours leading up to your entry into Norway.
  • Take the covid test upon your entry into Norway.
  • Enter into a 10 days travel quarantine in your own home, another suitable accommodation or a quarantine hotel.
  • You can take a PCR test no earlier than three days after arriving in Norway. If the test result is negative, you can come out of travel quarantine. You must be able to provide documentation of the negative test result.

Travel to Norway Covid and Quarantine Regulations

You have to enter into isolation if you tested positive to corona virus. You have to enter into quarantine if someone around you (close contact) tests positive to corona or you suspect that you have been infected.

If you test positive to the coronavirus, you must enter a 6-days isolation period in your home, at another suitable location or in a health institution. This means:

  • You have to stay at home and not go outside, except for street walks
  • You / your household should not have guests visiting
  • Maintain good hygiene routines to avoid infecting others in your household
  • It is important that the child's need for care is met, even if the child or parent is ill with COVID-19.
