National Covid Measures

National Covid Regulations and Recommendations

If you test positive to the coronavirus, you must enter a 6-days isolation period in your home, at another suitable location or in a health institution. This means:

  • You have to stay at home and not go outside, except for street walks
  • You / your household should not have guests visiting
  • Maintain good hygiene routines to avoid infecting others in your household
  • It is important that the child's need for care is met, even if the child or parent is ill with COVID-19.

You are considered non-vaccinated if you do not have a valid vaccination certificate from Norway / EU/EEA countries or the UK. Thus you have to:

  • Provide documentation of a negative test result for the PCR/antigen coronavirus taken during the 24 hours leading up to your entry into Norway.
  • Take the covid test upon your entry into Norway.
  • Enter into a 10 days travel quarantine in your own home, another suitable accommodation or a quarantine hotel.
  • You can take a PCR test no earlier than three days after arriving in Norway. If the test result is negative, you can come out of travel quarantine. You must be able to provide documentation of the negative test result.
